외규장각 도서 반환에 프랑스인도 나섰다

외규장각 도서 반환 문제를 트위터를 통해 이슈화 하고 있습니다. 

외규장각 도서 반환에 대한 프랑스 내부의 거부 움직임이 일고 있다고 해서, 

반환의 정당성을 주장하는 글을 트위터에 올리고 

이를 불어로 번역해서 전달해 달라고 부탁했는데, 성과가 있었습니다. 

프랑스 교포이신 @pia812 님이 제 블로그 내용을 소개하자, 

프랑스인 남편 @jbrieu 님이 문제의식에 공감하고 불어 번역을 해주었습니다. 

제 표현이 다고 거친 부분이 없지 않았는데, 문제의식에 동의한다는군요. 

이런이 프랑스의 꼬장에도 불구하고 프랑스인을 미워할 수가 없겠죠.

#1 Les livres d'Oegyujanggak que la France a volé sont le patrimoine coréen. Vous ne savez pas les lire et vous n'en connaissez pas la valeur.

D'ailleurs vous nous avez promis de les rendre en échange du TGV. La France serait-elle un pays de menteurs et de voleurs ?

#2 Nous espérons que vous allez rendre les livres d'Oegyujanggak. Pour vous ce sont des images étranges, mais pour nous, c'est une histoire inestimable. Vous n'avez pas volé notre patrimoine, mais notre mémoire. Il faut nous la rendre.

#3 Avant que les français n'utilisent le couteau et la fourchette, nos ancêtres avaient déjà décrit les effets de certains aliments et même une philosophie du repas. C'est ce qui se trouve dans ces livres. Si vous les gardez c'est comme donner des perles à un cochon. Rendez-les à nous qui en connaissons la valeur.

#4 Nous voulons poser la question à vous qui prétendez, malgré les preuves, que le patrimoine coréen que vous avez volé vous appartient : dans votre pays, si un homme viole une femme, est-il relâché sans être puni et la femme lui appartient-elle en plus ? Prouvez que vous n'êtes pas des barbares en rendant les livres.

#5 Vous détournez l'histoire en disant que vous avez obtenu les livres comme butin. Mais la France n'a jamais gagné de guerre contre l'Empire de Josun. En convoitant nos frontières vous vous êtes corrompus et vous avez lâchement pillé notre patrimoine. Vous n'avez rien reçu légitimement mais vous avez juste volé.

#1 "외규장각 도서는 프랑스에서 훔쳐간 한국의 문화재입니다. 당신들은 그것을 읽지도 못하고, 가치도 알지 못합니다. 더군다나 프랑스가 고속철을 팔기 위해 돌려주겠다고 했던 것입니다. 프랑스가 도둑과 거짓말쟁이의 나라인가요?"

#2 "외규장각 도서를 반환해 주기 바랍니다. 당신들에게는 희귀한 그림책으로 보일지 모르겠지만 우리에게는 소중한 역사입니다. 당신들은 우리의 문화재를 훔쳐간 것이 아니라 우리의 기억을 훔쳐간 것입니다. 우리의 기억을 돌려주세요" 

#3 "프랑스인들이 포크 나이프도 사용하기 전에 우리의 조상들은 음식의 효능은 물론 음식에 대한 철학까지 밥상에 구현하였습니다. 그런 기록이 바로 외규장각 도서입니다. 당신들이 우리의 외규장각 도서를 가지고 있는 것은 돼지가 진주목걸이를 하고 있는 것에 불과합니다. 그 가치를 알고 있는 우리에게 돌려주기 바랍니다." 

#4 "명백히 훔쳐온 문화재로 밝혀진 것도 프랑스의 것이라고 우기는 프랑스인들에게 묻고 싶습니다. 당신들의 나라에서는 여성을 겁탈하면 그 남성은 처벌 받지 않고, 오히려 적반하장으로 그 여성의 남자라고 주장합니까? 외규장각 도서 반환으로 당신들이 미개인이 아니라는 것을 증명하기 바랍니다." 

#5 "당신들은 외규장각 도서를 '전리품'으로 획득했다고 역사를 왜곡하고 있습니다. 프랑스는 한국(혹은 조선)과의 전쟁에서 승리한 적이 없습니다. 당신들은 우리의 국경을 넘보다 패퇴하고 단지 우리 문화재를 약탈해 갔을 뿐입니다. 당신들은 얻어간 것이 아니라 훔쳐간 것입니다."

This is a statement made by Koreans towards France to restore books from Woe-Kyujanggak (The Royal Library of Joseon) to Korea.

“These books are priceless Korean heritages stolen by France. You are unable to read or understand, and will never be able to appreciate its value. On the top of this, French government made PROMISE to restore the books in return of the contract with Train à Grande Vitesse(TGV). Is France a liar, a thief, or both?”

“We, Koreans urge France to RESTORE the books from Woe-Kyujanggak. It may be seen as an exotic picture book. But it is part of our precious history. You not only stole our heritage, but our MEMORIES as well. We need our memory back home, right now."

“Our ancestors have found out the effect of food, and put their philosophy on food on the dinner table. This is the story way before French people use fork and knife. The books that you have stolen are the records about this history. You having these books are nothing different from casting pearls before swine. These books must belong where their value shines.”

"It is such a shame that you have been alleging these books as your own even though it is crystal clear that you had stolen. Does woman belongs to a man who raped her in your county? We are giving you a chance to prove that you are not a barbarian.”

“France distorts the history by alleging that France had won the war against Korea, so that these books are war booties. France never had won any war against Korea. You only sneaked around the border and defeated. These books are not the trophy of war but a lost property by burglary.”
